His animals

Both of Jareds guinea pigs died. Brownie on Sunday, and Violet last night. It happened so fast, and so strangely, that we are still not completely sure what happened. Brownie probably caught some virus, and passed it along to Violet. Jared was overwhelmed.

He has cried for days, there are periods of happy, but he is very sad. He keeps telling me how he no longer has a pet. He says "Oh Brownie" and then starts to cry. My poor baby. Breeana is sad too, but after losing many rats herself, I think she understands the sometimes quick lives of small animals. Unfotunately we had told Jared how guinea pigs can live up to eight years, and so that was what he was expecting.

He very much wants to go get another guinea. Unfortunately they are almost $40 a piece, and we would have to get a new cage as well, as to not transmit any sickness to a new one, and they run from $60 to $100, along with all new supplies and that just isn't in our budget this week. So we'll see how he does tomorrow, hopefully a bit better than today : (
