� 2004-10-18 Missing them We had a great weekend. Well, most of it was great. We drove to Lake Tahoe early Saturday morning. There was a huge fire in the area leading to Tahoe, so there were many detours, and it ended up taking us a lot longer to get there then normal. When we got there we checked in, and walked over to the casinos. We gambled, we drank, and then we went to the movies. Then we gambled, we drank, and we had a lovely dinner in a nice Mexican restaraunt. We ended our day in a crappy way, because when we opened our bed to get in, we noticed the sheets had hair on them! Richard went to talk to the front desk, who swears the room had just been cleaned, and that they had no more king size sheets, so why don't we just throw on the queen sheets he had. I was soooo angry, and grossed out. They wouldn't refund our money, and so we slept there, but just barely. The crappy thing is that the hotel was reviewed well, I guess you can't believe those stupid reviews. Sunday morning the freeway was still closed due to the fire, so weren't able to go to Apple Hill : ( And, on top of that, there was a severe winter storm warning, and so we had to jet out of town before we got snowed in! As we were leaving it began snowing, and I think that was my favorite part of the trip, the snow falling on the beautiful red, yellow and orange trees, a mix of autumn and winter. We got home quicker then we got there, the detour was slightly different, and so we jsut spent the rest of the day relaxing, and watching "The Dead Zone" dvd's that I rented. Today I am alone, still without kids, and nothing to do. I might go over to Michaels and get some crafts to do. The kids are still having fun at my Moms, and will be gone until Friday! I know once I have them back I will be like " What was I thinking wanting them back early?" and I will have wished I took advantage of my quiet time, but for now I just want some hugs and kisses from my babies.
