Poor thing

My daughter is now sick, really sick. Day before yesterday she started running a high fever, it seemed like it came out of nowhere. Then I looked at her throat, and her right tonsil was swollen so much that it was touching the other side. I was freaked out, called the pediatrician, and told to calm down and schedule an appointment for the morning. So, we put her in our bed, and didn't sleep, but listened to make sure she was breathing all night. For a second it looked as though they were going to take her tonsils out, but it was decided to wait. The doctor said she couldn't believe my daughter wasn't in more pain. She has strep throat AGAIN, and so they put her on antibiotics, and will see if she responds well. Today it still hasn't shrunk, but the white junk is gone, and she says her throat hurts less. We only have two days until our long awaited trip to San Francisco, and now those plans are unsteady, we will have to wait and see. Ok, time for her medications.
