Happy Fourth of July

We had a nice fourth of July. First we drove out to San Francisco and went to the zoo. It was a cool, breezy day there, and a very welcome change from the heat wave we have been having here is San Jose. We saw all the wonderful animals, had a lion roar at us, and especially loved the polar bears. My kids were actually very good, and enjoyed themselves, which of course made the day good. Then we drove back home, and headed over to the park. We met sissy, and her husband, and my cousin and had a barbecue. It was a very nice time. The boys played softball, with my girl( whose arm suddenly didn't hurt anymore), and there was face painting, and board games, and playing trains. Then finally there was a lovely show of fireworks. All in all, it was a very nice fourth of July.
